He took many walks through the city center and became famous for photographing abandoned gloves he found on the streets of Budapest, as if he were collecting the city’s little stories. In an interview, he said that Budapest is one of the most beautiful places he has ever visited. And when Tom Hanks says that, it really means something.

Incidentally, the Market Hall is a must-see for many international visitors, because if you want to understand something about Hungary, it sometimes starts at a spice stand.

🌞 És akkor mi a tanulság?

Ha mindent egybe teszünk, van egy elég egyértelmű minta:

When we put it all together, there's a pretty clear pattern:

• Nem a luxus miatt szeretik Budapestet, - People don't love Budapest for its luxury,

• nem a hivalkodás miatt, - not for the sake of showing off,

• hanem a hangulat, az ételek, a nyugalom és a város élhetősége miatt. - but because of the atmosphere, the food, the tranquility, and the city's livability.

És talán ez a legnagyobb dicséret, amit egy város kaphat.

And perhaps that is the greatest praise a city can receive.

Mert lehet, hogy ide csak forgatni jönnek, vagy egy versenyhétvégére, esetleg egy diplomáciai tárgyalásra ülnek be…,

Because they might just be coming here to film, or for a race weekend, or perhaps to attend diplomatic talks…

…de közben mindig marad egy pillanat, amikor egyszerűen csak egy városban vannak, ahol jó lenni.

…but there’s always that moment when they’re simply in a city where it feels good to be.
